Luciana Nespeca è nata a Roccafluvione (AP) nel 1949. She holds a diploma in applied art, has a degree in Sociology. She attended international courses for printmaking techniques (intaglio, woodcut, lithography) in Urbino, Pomezia and Matera. She has taught printmaking in the state art institutes of Pescara and Ascoli Piceno and taught intaglio courses in Venice, Pesaro and Teramo. She directed the Saletta Rosa Spina Incisioni Art Gallery in Ascoli Piceno for fifteen years.
She has participated in countless group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Her works are in the collections of prestigious European and non-European museums such as the Museum of Gutemberg in Mainz, the Graphische Sammlung, Albertine, in Vienna, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney, the Gabinetto Nazionale delle Stampe in Rome, the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche in Ancona, the Museo Ca’ Pesaro in Venice, the Museum of the Book in Moscow, among others.
Luciana Nespeca is an artist who has always shown a great will and ability to of action, evidenced by her commitment to spreading knowledge in art schools, organizing exhibitions and creating an art gallery.
